Mr.
Fix-It began after the Second World War as the Gladstone
Gift Shop, a family run gift ware store on Du Parc St.
in the Plateau Mont Royal. After moving to Decarie Boulevard
in 1952, Mr. Fix-It was born,
and small appliance repair became the store’s specialty.
Once again Mr.
Fix-It has changed with the times. As more and more items
in our daily lives become disposable, Mr.
Fix-It has moved resolutly into the field of restoration.
Mr. Fix-It has quickly established
a reputation as a superb restorer of crystal and porcelain,
and the store has expanded its restoration abilities by introducing
a professional painting restorer. Staying true to the store’s
past, Mr Fix-It does still repair
a wide variety of items, including old but reliable appliances
which can now be considered irreplaceable.
Mr.
Fix It specialises in the restoration of crystal, porcelain,
paintings, clocks, music boxes, lamps, chandeliers, bronzes and
silverware. We restore anything
except a broken heart!
